Elijah Allen Cazares-Smith

Elijah Allen Cazares-Smith, 28, of Garland, TX, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, and friend whose adventurous spirit, kind heart, and wonderful sense of humor touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Elijah will be remembered for his compassion, loyalty, hard work, and the genuine care he showed to those around him. He was charming, well-mannered, and inspirational, always leaving a lasting impression with his warm personality and caring nature.

Elijah attended Richardson High School and graduated in 2016. After high school, he worked at Youfit for four years before beginning his career at Encore Wire in McKinney, Texas, where he worked hard and developed his trade. He took pride in his work and was known for his dedication and determination.

In April 2026, Elijah married Angelica, becoming a loving part of her family and gaining two children whom he welcomed into his life with love and an open heart. They met in November of 2024 and instantly became inseparable and dedicated to one another. Forming a bond that was so magical that inspired those who got the opportunity to witness their love for themselves. Family was important to Elijah, and the bonds he formed with those he loved were deeply cherished. He spent a year and a half beside his wife Angelica and her two children building a beautiful life and home full of endless love and laughter.

Elijah had many passions and talents that made him uniquely himself. He loved playing the guitar, whether it was teaching himself to play through YouTube videos or playing for his wife and family. His love of music was evident in the way he embraced rock, rhythm and blues, and even inspired Angelica’s son Gabriel so much so that he gifted him his first guitar. He was also a talented artist who enjoyed creating beautiful drawings with pencil and colored pencil. When he wasn't making music or art, Elijah could often be found enjoying one of his other great loves, if not his first—riding his motorcycles and embracing the sense of adventure and freedom it brought him. He was a biker through and through, and he rode his last sunset as he knew he would someday, and he fully accepted and embraced that fate.

One of the most special relationships in Elijah's life was with his brother and best friend, Peter. The two shared a close bond that went far beyond being brothers. Elijah adored his big brother, and their friendship was a treasured part of his life. Later, Elijah had the opportunity to become a big brother himself when Lelah was born. He inspired Lelah through his love of music, art, and working out, leaving an influence that she will carry with her throughout her life.

Those who knew Elijah will remember not only the things he loved, but the way he made people feel. His humor could bring a smile, his kindness could brighten a difficult day, and his loyal and compassionate nature made him someone others could count on. He was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Elijah's close friends, co-workers, and family members who have provided tremendous love, strength, and support throughout this difficult time. Your kindness and presence have meant more than words can express.

Elijah's memory will live on through the people he loved, the music he created, the art he shared, and the countless memories he leaves behind. Though he is deeply missed, the love he gave and the joy he brought into the lives of others will never be forgotten.

Elijah is survived by his wife, Angelica; her two children, Layna and Gabriel; parents, Lidia and Bernard; siblings, Pedro Antonio and Lelah Anita; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
