Eloise Louella Jacksie Andrychuk passed away at 94 years of age, on May 9, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 22, 1921 in Toronto, Canada. She met and fell for the love of her life, the late Dr. Dmetro Andrychuk. They had three children, Dennis Andrychuk, Marguarite Andrychuk Koslowski (deceased), and Catherine Andrychuk Slevin and her husband, Mark. Eloise and Dmetro shared several common interests. They belonged to a Square Dance Club, and later in life, many of the Dallas area Gem and Mineral clubs. Eloise was very artistic and pursued copper enameling, oil painting and sewing. She made much of her children’s clothing by hand. In her late 50’s, she joined the work force and enjoyed working as a salesperson at Joske’s, in the jewelry department. Up until the middle of last summer, Mom would go shopping at the store where she had worked and visit many of her former coworkers. They always remembered her fondly and were happy to see her, a testament to her kind, sweet and gentle nature. Everyone who knew Eloise enjoyed her company, and admired her cheerful approach to life, and her vibrant personality.
Eloise is also survived by her brother Gerald Jacksie, his wife Barbara, and their two children, Robert and Dennis Jacksie and their families, all living in Canada.
By Eloise’s request, there will be no funeral or services.
