

Emma grew up in Livingston and graduated from Livingston High School in 1948. She attended Hockaday Junior College, which no longer exists, on Greenville Avenue in Dallas where she met Brian Dooley. They married on July 15, 1951, a relationship that has lasted over 72 years.
Emma and Brian joined the University Park Methodist Church and the Wedding Ring class. She served as a Stephens minister in the church and was very active in various church activities.
Both Emma and Brian were members of the Dallas Power Squadron. They trailed their boats to various lakes and waterways of the lower 48 states. They chartered boats in the Virgin Islands and the San Juan Islands in Washington State.
When the couple moved to Richardson, Texas, Emma became a member of the Richardson Women's Club. This club is dedicated to promoting the interests of its members through civic, social, cultural and philanthropic activities. Emma said she found this group to be the sister that she had wished for.
She is preceded in death by her parents and son James T. Dooley. She is survived by her husband, Brian H. Dooley, her daughter Susan (Bob) Delacroix, grandchildren, Shannon Peavy and Heather (Jason) Coy, and great grandchildren, Henley Olivia Coy, and Hollyn Mera Coy.
