Ervin was born in Riverside, California, to Eddie Davis and was lovingly raised by his devoted mother, Fay Etta Davis. A proud veteran, Ervin served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, where he was stationed in Japan and Alaska.
In 1954, he married the love of his life, Delores Jean Russell. Though he had only a 10th-grade education, Ervin’s work ethic and determination were unmatched. He began working in the oil fields and later went on to establish a successful electrical company through hard work and perseverance.
Ervin was a people person in every sense of the word—gregarious, approachable, and always ready with a joke or a helping hand. He never met a stranger and had a natural gift for making others feel at ease. He was a man of many talents who truly could do anything he set his mind to.
Above all, Ervin loved his family. He was incredibly proud of his three daughters and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters: Celia Davis, Pam Blackford (Todd), and Debbie Davis (Joseph Guevara); his half-brother Terry Davis; nephews J.D. Davis and Glenn Davis; grandchildren Morgan and Mason; and great-grandchildren Lincoln and Holden.
Ervin was preceded in death by his beloved wife Delores, his parents, his brother Harold Davis, nephew Harold Jr., and his sisters-in-law Barbara and Donna.
Ervin’s legacy of love, laughter, and hard work lives on in all who knew and loved him.
