Glenda was my daughter’s mother-in-law. She was so kind and welcoming to Amy and her 2 children.  She  loved the grandkids as her own. They and Amy loved her from the beginning.   She will be greatly missed for all her love, thoughtfulness and encouragement.  She was a strong lady and a wonderful example for us all. She will be missed.

When we were asked to take the Insights Personality Test, it revealed our personality colors—our strengths, weaknesses, and even whether we were the life of the party. Out of the hundreds of people who took the test in the Dallas area, only two came out as “Sunshine Yellow”: Glenda and me, Larry Jefferson.

Here’s what it said about us:
Sunshine Yellow – Describes people who are enthusiastic, sociable, and persuasive. They bring positivity and creativity to group settings.

This made us smile & laugh because it described us perfectly. Glenda couldn't stop laughing and giggling because we were the only 2 Sunshine Yellow in the County.  She truly embodied this spirit—always sociable, full of enthusiasm, and naturally persuasive. She brought joy, energy, and warmth wherever she went.

I’m deeply saddened by the passing of our friend.  She was more than just a friend—she was a kind soul, a steady presence, and someone who always brought light into the lives of those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Glenda Retirement party hosted by the Richardson Workforce Staff!

Sara, condolences for you and your family,

Oh I am so sad to learn of Glenda’s passing. We met at our gym. Glenda was a student in a Zumba class I taught and she always had a smile on her face and a warm hello for everyone. She would join us for our “party in the parking lot” where we toasted to the friendships we had made. It was a pleasure knowing her. May her memory be a blessing. She was truly a lovely person and I am better for having known her.

Although it’s been many many years since we spoke, I will always consider Glenda a really good childhood friend. We rode bikes, played in the creek, loved Snoopy, and enjoyed starting little fires on her driveway! lol. She was always happy and fun!❤️

Such an inspiring woman <3  I met Glenda when I was in my early 20's and just entering graduate school.  I was working 30 hrs per week at the Richardson Workforce Center, and she was the center manager. In the 30 years since then, I have never met a person who could so seamlessly integrate being a supervisor, mentor, life coach, and friend.  She was also amazingly prescient. One of the things she jokingly said to me then, was "if you keep furrowing your eyebrows like that, you will develop a big wrinkle there! "   :-D. Glenda, I know you are looking down from heaven laughing at me because you were exactly right!

She loved her family with every bit of her soul, and I feel so blessed to have been lucky enough to have Glenda be a part of my life. I'm glad we still occasionally kept in touch all these years. The world will miss your smile, your laughter, and your joy for life. I will love her in infinitum. Sending vast amounts of hugs and comfort to her family  and friends. She will most certainly continue to be an inspiration on this earth through the many people her spirit touched.  Much love.   Liz Snyder Gulledge

Glenda was my gardening muse. She shared cuttings and advice which I accepted gratefully. When I think of all the best things that “neighbor” means, I think of her. Heartfelt condolences to everybody who misses her. She was a good one.
