Born in Dallas, Texas, on May 13, 1955, Glenda graduated from Bryan Adams High School before earning her Bachelor of Arts with Honors from The University of Texas at Austin. She went on to dedicate 30 years of service to the Texas Workforce Commission.
On July 25, 1987, Glenda married the love of her life, Jay Klingelhoffer. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three children—Sara, Jill, and Brent—whom she adored deeply. Her greatest joys were her family, especially her beloved grandchildren: Brooks, Haden, Seth, Kristen, Anna, and Caden.
Glenda had a green thumb and a generous heart. She found joy in gardening, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns, and traveling to new places. Her warmth, kindness, and strong spirit touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband Jay; her children Sara, Jill, and Brent; her six grandchildren; and her siblings George, Margaret, Curt, and Johnny.
A memorial in Glenda’s honor will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements are finalized.
She will be remembered always for her love, laughter, and unwavering support of those around her.
