Harley was a banker for most of his professional career. Later in life, he switched to data processing and retired from Perot Systems Corporation.
He was an avid woodworker with a perfectionist eye on everything he produced. He also enjoyed writing; sharing his testimony, outlook on life, personal life experiences and fictional tales. Many of these stories and tall tales he shared with his numerous friends and family members through email. Everyone looked forward to getting a story or comment on current events from him in an email.
Harley was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son, friend, mentor and an example to everyone of what a Christian man should be. While we celebrate the fact that he has basking in the glow of his Savior and rejoined his parents and his son, he will leave a large hole in all of our hearts. He will be sorely missed.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 S. Greenville, Ave., Richardson, Texas 75081 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
A celebration of Harley’s life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Park Central Baptist Church, 7777 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75251 at 2:00PM.
