She was passionate about many things, from cooking to Texas Rangers Baseball, and her ideal Saturday night included watching Mollie B Polka Party on TV. Whether it was working at Medical City in Dallas in the 70s, driving military supply trucks on a military base during World War II, or lovingly raising her daughter.
Hazel lived every day to help others. She believed in improving the lives of all those she came in contact with, and by doing so was loved and cherished by all she met.
Born in Huckabay, Texas to T.E. and Clara Hill, she lived most of her childhood on a farm in Afton, Texas before moving to Amarillo, Las Vegas, and Garland.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Joan Leslie Newcomb, infant daughter Delores Jean Kiger, as well as her husband Robert Walter Wallace.
She is survived by her grandson Jonathan Newcomb and wife Crystal, great-grandchildren Tyler, Trevor, and Felicity, as well as grandson Thomas Newcomb.
