Ida Faye Caddel
June 25, 1938 – April 19, 2021
Ida Faye Caddel passed away at age 82 on Monday April 19, 2021 in Mount Pleasant Texas.
Ida was born June 25, 1938 in Benoit, Texas to John and Luna Hocker.
She married Cecil in 1958 and remained devoted to him until his death in 2006. For 28 years, Ida and Cecil worked together managing the Southwest Region of the Professional Bowlers Association. The bowlers viewed Ida as the “Mother” of the region and some even considered her the “real” tournament director as she worked behind the scenes assisting Cecil at every tournament. Ida was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6796 where she and Cecil volunteered their time. Ida was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Caddel and grandson Christopher Caddel; her parents John and Luna Hocker; her brothers Lonnie Hocker, Harvey Hocker and Robert Hocker and her sisters Dorothy Teague and Shirley Davis.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Wyatt and Tia Caddel of Liberty Hill, Texas; grandchildren Jennifer Caddel of Liberty Hill, Texas, Wyatt Caddel Jr of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and Brandy Hodge of Roanoke, Virginia; her sister Emma Lou Allen of Saint Jo, Texas and brother Thomas Hocker of Grandview, Texas; brother-in-law Lowell Caddel of Lubbock, Texas; four great grand-children and multiple nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at 9:00am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 6796 at 9179 Garland Road, Dallas, Texas 75218 or charity of your choice.
