Jean Maureen Bunday

Jean was raised in Rolla, Missouri, and proudly graduated from Drury College in 1966. She married the love of her life, Drake Bunday, in 1967, and together they had one child.

Jean dedicated her life to education and community service. She was a beloved volunteer and teacher in the Richardson School District, where she worked for more than 15 years. Her passion for nurturing young minds and her commitment to her community left a lasting impact on countless lives.

In her spare time, Jean cherished every moment spent with her grandson, friends, and neighbors. She was a faithful member of Zeta and actively involved in the local PTA. Her warmth, humor, and boundless love made her the heart and light of her family.

Jean is preceded in death by her dearly loved husband, Drake, and her son, Ben.

She is survived by her devoted daughter-in-law, Elizabeth (Betsy); her cherished grandson, William; her loving sister, Jane Davis; her niece, Emily; and a large extended family of Cottinghams and Bundays in Texas and Virginia.

Jean’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be remembered as a warm, funny, and most loving presence in the lives she touched.
