Jess F Bescos
January 9, 1932 – October 6, 2019
Jess Bescos M.D. born January 9, 1932 in Gurrea de Gallego, Aragon, Spain passed away peacefully on October 6, 2019 in Dallas,Texas surrounded by his devoted family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Packy Bescos, his son Robert Bescos and his daughter Elizabeth Bescos Whiddon. Upon arriving to the United States in 1959, he and his bride started their life together in Cleveland Ohio later moving to Texas in 1971. Dr. Bescos practiced as a successful physician anesthesiologist. Always with his sense of perseverance, hard work and excellent work ethic at his core. He was always well respected by his peers and many recall him having a delightful sense of humor in the workplace which made him a pleasure to work with. Jess was happiest when surrounded by his loving family. Most importantly his precious wife, Packy who stood by his side for 55 years. Their marriage has served as a beautiful example for future generations. His children and grandchildren affectionately called him “Yayo”. He enjoyed traveling the world, fishing, delicious food and always a good soccer game. He had a strong catholic faith which provided him the strength to navigate multiple challenges. Jess is survived by his children, Pilar Bescos and Munir Hazbun, Martha and Shawn Broussard, Gretchen Bescos, James Whiddon. Grandchildren: Victor and Raquel Hazbun, Johnathan and Daniel Whiddon, Cristina and Nicholas Broussard and Alex and Brandon Bescos. Great Grandson: Ryder Bescos. His family would like to express their special gratitude to his physicians, Rafael Canadas M.D and Elaine Whittaker M.D., his physical therapist, Helga Perez and to the staff of Seasons Hospice and of Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas. Also a big thanks to the staff of Cerna Healthcare, Nate Mutua, Mdoe Msenga and Darrell Brooks whose patience and kindness will never be forgotten. Also, many thanks to all our friends that walked this journey with us. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Parkinson Disease Association or a charity of your choice. A Viewing and Rosary for Jess F. Bescos will take place Saturday, October 12 at 9:30am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8017 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75225. The Funeral Mass will follow the Viewing and Rosary at 10:00am at Christ the King Catholic Church.
