Love rest in pease

This was our second year living together, making memories, hanging out, and singing karaoke!

Ugh Scott. Who am I going to gossip at work with now? It’s hard to believe you are no longer physically here. I’ll forever miss you, you were an amazing coworker. I’ll never forget all our jokes and chats about everything and anything. Have a smoky old fashion in heaven for me, till we meet again. ❤️

Scott was a friend and teammate that I will miss dearly. His last phone call to me was about his concern on if he was going to receive the Pro Player Dallas Flash backpack. I left it a surprise until Signing Day when I handed him the bag. You can see the joy in his eyes and smile. I’ll miss that smile more than you know. I hope his heart was full of joy that night. I know my heart was full knowing Scott got what he so wished for that day. Love you my friend.

I only met Scott this past September when we traveled to Florida for a pickleball tournament, but some people have a way of becoming your friend in an instant. He went from teammate to friend while talking about our mutual love for casino slot machines (specifically the Bao Buns kitchen one!) while eating Chili’s baby back ribs late night in Florida after a LONG day of pickleball.
Scott had a presence on and off the court that you just don’t forget. And that overhead slam? Absolutely LEGENDARY. He quickly became one of my favorite things about showing up for pickleball practice.
It’s hard to wrap my head around how someone I’d known for such a short time could leave such a lasting impression. I wish we’d had more laughs, more conversations, and definitely more tournaments together.
We had plans to play together now that he finally had a “real” pickleball bag. 😂 He'd been using an old tennis bag for his paddles, and I loved giving him a hard time about it. Then, just this past Sunday, he got his new Dallas Flash pickleball bag, and I’ve never seen someone so happy about a bag! He was SO proud of it. Little did I know that moment would become such a special memory.
The Dallas Flash family won’t be the same without you, Scott. I’m so grateful our paths crossed, even if it was for far too short a time.
Rest easy, my friend. Save us a spot on the court. We love you! ⚡️🩵

Scott became my best friend in such a short time. I can’t believe he is gone. I always loved playing cards with him or trying new restaurants. My two kids saw him as an uncle and had so much fun when he came over. He will be sorely missed.

Ji was my volleyball teammate for 3 years, and remained a good friend for the next decade. Even though our lives took us apart to live in different places, he always went out of his way to check up on me and wish me well. I cherish all of our moments together: the good, the funny, the rewarding, and the challenging. My prayers and best wishes go out to his family during an unimaginably hard time. Rest in peace my friend.
