Jimmie Faye Compton Reese, born on October 5, 1919, passed away on May 15, 2014. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Martin S. Reese, with whom she was united in marriage since June 3, 1942. She lived at the Masonic Home and School in Fort Worth, along with her brothers and sister from age six until she graduated at 16 ½ years old. She then went on to graduate from Texas Technological College in Lubbock. Jimmie was a long time member at Highland Park United Methodist Church where she and Martin were involved with various organizations, including the AYA. She spent her later years working at McCommons Oil Company and Thomas Enterprises, finally retiring in 1997 after a work career spanning approximately 60 years. Jimmie is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, May 19 from 5pm to 8pm At Sparkman Funeral Home in Richardson. Services will be Tuesday, May 20 at 2pm, also at Sparkman Funeral Home. Barbara Marcum will be presiding. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
