Jo Beth remained in Amarillo until she made the decision to attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. It is here that she met the love of her life, Billy Wade Weise.
On June 5, 1965, Jo Beth and William Wade ‘Billy Wade’ Weise began a lifelong journey of partnership, love and family.
Jo Beth began her career as an elementary school teacher in Lubbock, TX until the family moved to Phoenix, AZ, then Pleasanton, CA and finally back home to Texas (Richardson.)
Professionally, Jo Beth was most proud of her accomplishments at her final employer, SBC/AT&T. She started as a temp, knowing nothing about the industry, but was determined to learn and earn a permanent position. In true Jo Beth fashion, she learned all the technical skills about wireless technology and ended her career as a Director of Global Accounts.
Jo Beth served as a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She dedicated her later years to the Nancy Horton Davis Chapter to honor her mother’s legacy in the DAR and her love of country.
Jo Beth was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Wilkes Armstrong Potter, mother Myrtle Ann Savage Potter and sister Mary Ann Potter.
She is survived by her loving soulmate and husband, Billy and their three children: William Wade Weise II (Sarah), Stephen Douglas Weise (Jessica) and Beth Anne Weise Collins (Scott.)
Her grandchildren: William Wade Weise III, Jackson Edward Collins, Caroline Elizabeth Collins and Megan Elizabeth Weise.
Jo Beth lived her life by her guiding principles of authenticity, love and kindness.
