Jose Garza Jr., 65, passed from this life on August 16,2013 in Garland, Texas. He was born on July 31, 1948 in Mercedes, Texas. He was a loving husband, father and step-father who also loved the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria Luisa Cantu Garza. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Juanita C. Garza; sisters Rosie Garza and Nora De Luna and spouse Rene De Luna of McAllen; daughters Roxanne Garza of Wylie and Melinda Silva of Carrollton; step-children and their spouses Max and Barbara Mondragon of Sachse, Maria and Gerald Bowyer of Garland, and Miguel and Jeanine Mondragon of Garland; step-mother Augutina Garza; nephew Joshua De Luna; niece Jessica De Luna; and 8 grandchildren: Alessandra Morales, Alexandra Morales, Jose Gonzalez, Xiemenia Gonzalez, Joshie Gonzalez, Ana Valdez, and Johnathon Valdez; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Rosary will be held Friday, August 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 S. Jupiter Rd., Richardson, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m.
