

He was raised in Tonacatepeque where he completed his elementary and high school education. Upongraduating from high school he asked his father if he could continue his higher education in exchange forhis inheritance and his father agreed. He then moved to the capital, San Salvador, where he attended and completed hisaccounting degree in the prestigious Santa Cecilia College.
Jose worked as a Certified Public Accountant both in the private and governmental sectors in El Salvador.He met the love of his life, Maria Isabel, in Tonacatepeque. They dated for a few years and on October 14, 1944they became husband and wife. They procreated 7 children of which 4 are alived: Aida, Doris, Carlos, and Ana.in the early 1970's both migrated to the United States to be reunited with their daughter, Doris, who had migrated a couple years earlier.
Jose and wife had to work hard and Jose sometimes held 2 jobs in New York City in order to be able to bring all their other children to the USA.
Once that was accomplished they continue to work but also begun to enjoy life by traveling outside the USA.
The Lord had a new plan for Jose and Maria in 2013. On July 22nd God first called Maria Isabel into his presence and shortly after, on November 9th, it was Jose's turn.
Our Benevolent God granted them the privilege to be married for 69 years and the blessing to be surrounded, cared, and loved by their children and grandchildren.
Jose and Maria's children would like to express their gratitude to all those family and frieds who contributed to their parents well being, especially to daughter Doris, and granddaughter Martha Lillian who closely supervised their health issues during their last years.
