Katherine Evelyn Lumpkin

Katherine was a member of Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas. She was very giving. She donated to many numerous charities. She loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers, never missing a game. Katherine had a special place in her heart for all kinds of animals, especially cats. She never turned away a hungry animal and fed all the strays in her neighborhood. Katherine always enjoyed and looked forward to her many visits with her great-great-grandson Zane.

Katherine is preceded in death by her husband George Lumpkin, son Michael Lumpkin, and her grandson Charles Stone. She is survived by her daughter Maureen Stone; grandchildren Mark, John, David Lumpkin, Linda Wilson, Steve Stone; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 6-8 PM and the funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 2 PM - both at Sparkman Richardson Funeral Home (1029 S. Greenville Ave, Richardson, TX 75081). Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery.
