Kieran Thomas Keddy

October 27, 1964 – April 1, 2026
Obituary of Kieran Thomas Keddy
IN THE CARE OF

Sparkman Funeral Home & Cremation Services

Kieran Thomas Augustine Keddy died peacefully on Wednesday, April 1st. Kieran lived a life deeply rooted in faith, which served as his anchor through his courageous battle with ALS.

Kieran was born on October 27th, 1964, in Dublin, Ireland, the son of Tommy and Anne (Burke) Keddy. He married Mary Halligan on March 11th, 2004.

He was a 1982 graduate of Rockbrook Secondary School in Dublin and a 1985 graduate of University College Dublin. He was also a devoted member of Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Richardson, Texas.

Kieran began his career as a teacher, spending time teaching in Barcelona, Spain, and at Rockbrook. He later transitioned into a sales career that spanned 30 years, including 25 years in the mobile phone industry.

He had a deep passion for sports, proudly supporting his favorite teams: Ballyboden St. Enda’s GAA, Shamrock Rovers, Leeds United, Irish rugby, and Notre Dame football. He also had a love for music, enjoying playing the guitar and singing.

Kieran found great joy in coaching sports, especially his boys. One of his favorite pastimes was sharing a pint with friends at the pub. He held a strong belief in his faith, family, friends, and a good whiskey.

Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife, Mary Halligan Keddy, and his sons, Eoin and Louis; his siblings Miriam and Philip Brennan (Dublin), Johnny and Carol Keddy (Dublin), Thomas and Stephanie Keddy (Chicago), Derek and Elizabeth Keddy (Atlanta), Dermot and Mags Keddy (Dublin), Anne-Noreen and Philip Brousil (London), and Jeanne and Caoimhín Tuite (Dublin); and all his loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Tommy and Anne.

Service arrangements are pending at this time.
