Leta Faye Hamilton

Graveside services for Leta F Hamilton will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas on January 17, 2016 at 1 pm . Visitation will be held that same day from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home. She was born in Turkey, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. P.L. Findley on August 4, 1950. She graduated from High School in Amarillo, Texas in 1967. Leta spent her career working for Texas Tech University. She retired in August 2008 after serving in the School of Communication Studies and The School of Nursing for 20 years. She received the “Outstanding Achievement Award” two separate times in her career at Tech.

She was married to Glenn E (Gene) Hamilton for 38 years and they attended the “Downtown Bible Class” in Lubbock, Texas for many years. She enjoyed living in the country and surrounding herself with cows, kitties and her family. She is survived by husband, Gene, and two stepdaughters, Genie Schlegal and husband Roger, Lisa Killgore and her husband, Dan. Three grandchildren, Andrew Oldham, Ashley Oldham and Jake Oldham. Two sisters , Ellen Grant and Pauline Pool, three brothers and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Memorials are suggested to Women’s Incorporation for Therapy. recovery@ WIIT.com
