Loree (Muller) Shaver, 63, was called to heaven on Sunday July 20th with loved ones by her side. Loree was greeted with open arms by her father Svend Muller, niece Jamie Shaver and daughter in law Meredith Woods.
Loree was born on June, 3rd 1951 in Kimbalton, Iowa to Svend and Neva Muller. Svend and Neva soon moved Loree, with her older brother Warren (Muller) and sister Jana Dee (Barnes), to Dallas, Texas where they called the neighborhood of Casa View home.
In 1969 she graduated from Bryan Adams High School. She soon met and fell in love with her husband Mike Shaver in December of 1976. They were later wed on December, 27 1979 in a small ceremony at the Muller home performed by her brother Warren.
Loree was a people person with a passion. She started her professional career at the Exxon Mobile Corporation in 1990 where she worked as the payroll coordinator and quickly climbed the ladder from Asset Analyst all the way up to Asset Specialist. She was recognized for reducing company spending by $500,000 yearly, earning merit and bonus awards from her colleagues and Mobil’s Executive Managers Team for Outstanding Achievements. She also initiated, implemented and managed computer donation programs for Texas and Africa for needy organizations, served as a member of the Outreach Program Management Team and was the recipient of several community and company achievement awards.
Although Loree was an outstanding and accomplished business women, if you asked her about life’s greatest accomplishment she wouldn’t hesitate on the answer. Being a mother to three sons Colton, Chad and Blake Shaver was her greatest success. She was destined to be a mother and took her job very seriously. In turn, if you ask the boys about their mother they would tell you what an amazing, selfless, loving, funny, understanding and patient mother she was to each of them, unconditionally.
After retirement Loree and Mike made their dream of living in the country a reality. In Powell, Texas is where they spent their days enjoying the quiet, breathing in the fresh air and raising goats, horses and chickens. Loree learned her love for animals at a young age. A very fond memory for many family members is the story of Loree’s first horse. A young girl with her daddy at a local car dealership put her name in a drawing for a pony. Of course daddy said yes to those hopeful eyes, knowing they would probably walk away empty handed with a valuable lesson “You can’t always win, but you can try”. Instead, daddy had to find a place to put Loree’s new pony, the Pinecrest backyard had to suffice for a short while.
Another dream was realized on February 22nd, 2014 when their first grandchild was born, lovingly named Olivia Loree Shaver, after her ‘Maggie’. Olivia may not remember her first hand, but she will be reminded daily of her beaming personality and how her Maggie endlessly adored her. There is no measure to how much Loree will be missed.
Please join us in remembering our new Angel. The viewing will be held on Monday July 28th from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm at Sparkman Funeral Home on Greenville Avenue in Richardson, to be followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony on Tuesday July 29th at 1:00 pm at the same location.
