

Margaret Haney Cooper got to meet Jesus face to face on August 5, 2023, at the age of 94. She was currently residing in Houston, TX. Known for her fun-loving personality and love of singing, she lived a long and good life. Margaret was born in Dallas, TX on March 27, 1929, and adopted by Samuel Judson Hall & Mary Margaret Johnson Hall of Malakoff, TX.
In 1946, she married Billy Joe Haney and resided in Palestine, TX. They had four children. While in Palestine, Margaret owned and operated the Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio, sang in the choir of First Baptist Church, and participated in many local clubs and organizations.
In 1976, Margaret married Earl Wallace “Wally” Cooper and resided in Richardson, TX, along with his two children. For many years she was a successful broker with Ebby Halliday Real Estate in Dallas. Margaret graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a B.A. when she was 56 years old with the goal of being a writer. A few of her many volunteer activities were Nursing Home Ombudsman, Republican Women’s organizations, and various church ministries. The Coopers attended Richland Bible Fellowship. After retirement, the Coopers moved to their home in Brackettville, TX in Fort Clark. They attended Frontier Baptist Church and were very involved in the local activities.
Margaret is survived by her four children and two stepchildren: Don Milton Haney, Sara Diane Haney Dayton, Susan Denise Haney Good, Sandra Dolores Haney Flato, Cydney Diane Cooper Braswell and John Keith Cooper, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She will be buried with Wally at the DFW National Cemetery.
