

Mark Hayes Gallacher, age 75, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025. Born on February 8, 1950, in East Lansing, Michigan, Mark lived a life defined by integrity, curiosity, and deep devotion to those he loved.
A proud graduate of Michigan State University, Mark later earned his master’s degree from the University of Utah. His professional journey led him into the geology field with Santa Fe Energy Co., and later worked in banking at Bank of Texas, where he was respected for his thoughtful approach and steady leadership.
On January 4, 1980, Mark married Ardena Kathryn Cline, beginning a partnership that spanned more than 45 years. Their marriage was a beautiful example of commitment, mutual respect, and enduring love. Ardena was not only his wife but his closest friend and confidante, and their bond was a source of strength and joy throughout their lives together.
Mark had a lifelong passion for college sports, especially cheering on the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers. He found joy in the simple pleasures—sharing stories, watching games, and spending time with Ardena and their extended family and friends. His warmth, humor, and quiet wisdom left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by Ardena, along with many beloved relatives and friends who will miss his presence deeply.
A funeral service for Mark will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Sparkman Funeral Home, with burial will follow at Restland Cemetery.
