

Nan Cotten,74, of Trophy Club passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Baylor Regional Medical Center in Grapevine, TX. She will always be remembered as a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all that knew and loved her.
She was born in Dallas on November 18, 1941 to Samuel F. Tuthill and Harriet C. Tuthill father and mother. She was an incredible person who enjoyed spending time with other people. She loved the Arts and enjoyed musical theatre. She would find joy in long drives, museums, and live performances. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from The University of North Texas in Education and her Master’s Degree from Prairie View A & M in Special Education. She was a certified Diagnostician and a teacher for twenty years where she specialized in the care for children with disabilities. She loved playing bunco and other games with her ladies groups. She was a member of the garden club, and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years Arthur James Cotten Jr. of Trophy Club; two daughters Candy Delorantis and her husband Frank Delorantis of Farmersville, Jinja Martin and her husband Terry Martin of Dallas, a son Arthur James Cotten III and his wife Tammi of Sachse; five grandchildren Ellen Miller, Daniel Miller, Bret Martin, James Cotten and Kathryn Cotten, brother Neil C. Tuthill of Santa Monica, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, father Samuel F. Tuthill who passed in 1980 and her mother Harriet Tuthill in 1992.
A Graveside Service will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery on Tuesday December 1, 2015 at 11:00 am, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX 75225. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Online condolences can be made at www.SparkmanRichardson.com.
