Born on September 9, 1974, in Fort Worth, Texas, Ricky graduated from Garland High School and went on to build a successful career as a Business Owner and Financial Executive in the telecommunications and technology industry. He worked with companies such as Reallinx, Hypercore, and Airespring, where he was admired not only for his expertise but also for his integrity, leadership, and unwavering support of his colleagues.
Ricky married the love of his life, Stephanie Michelle Herrera, on November 23, 2018, after sharing a beautiful journey together since 2012. Their bond was built on deep love, laughter, and unwavering support. Ricky was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a beloved brother and son. His heart found its greatest joy in the warmth of his family, and the love of his three dogs Chief Roux, Mercy Grace, and Memphis Jennings; he gave his all to every relationship he cherished.
Ricky had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether he was helping a friend in need, mentoring a coworker, or simply sharing a laugh, Ricky left a lasting impression. His passion for cars, fishing, and dogs was matched only by his passion for helping others. He was the kind of person who would drop everything to lend a hand, and his generosity and kindness will be remembered by all who knew him.
Ricky is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; daughters, Macie Nicole Deaton, Hailey Bree Harding, Meagan Brooke Harding, and Alexis Jade Taylor-Herrera; his brother, Christopher Michael Herrera; and his father/uncle, Loring Lance Baker Jr., lovingly referred to as Dad-Uncle.
The Herrera family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, that family and friends consider making a donation to the American Heart Association at https://ahatribute.funraise.org/fundraiser/ricky-herrera, or donate/volunteer with a local animal shelter to honor Ricky's memory.
