With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Kasmire, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Bob’s warmth, quick wit, and love for life left a lasting impact on everyone he knew. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Dorothy; his children, Bobby Kasmire Jr. (Adriaan) and Cindy Tully (John); and five cherished grandchildren — Kayla, Bobby, Amanda, Caitlin, and John. He was endlessly proud of their accomplishments. Bob was predeceased by his first wife of 35 years, Arlene Kasmire, who passed in 2004, and his dear brother-in-law, Tom O’Leary, who passed in 2022.
In 2007, Bob married Dorothy Jones, expanding his family with her children, Spencer Jones (Carolyn Zanelli) and Adrienne Kleckner (Kyle), along with three wonderful grandchildren — Kennedy, Will, and Maren. He also embraced Dorothy’s sister, Peggy O’Leary, and brother, Jack O’Leary (Greg Smith), as his own.
Born in Pelham, NY, Bob was a proud New Yorker and lifelong Yankees and Rangers fan. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy for seven years as a submarine missile technician, earning several medals.
Bob’s love for golf was unmatched. He was an active member of the Richardson Senior Golf League, where he organized end-of-season banquets and coordinated ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) gatherings, which brought him great joy.
A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held on April 5th at 10:30 a.m. at Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 Greenville Avenue, Richardson, Texas. He will be laid to rest at the D-FW National Cemetery for Veterans.
Bob’s kindness, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
