

Ronald (Ron) Albert Wilson, age 86, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, in Denton, Texas, after a lengthy illness. He was born on July 12, 1939, in Dallas, Texas, to Marion B. W. Wilson and Genevieve M. (Chamness) Wilson.
Ron was raised in San Antonio, Texas, and graduated from Brackenridge High School. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas in Austin. After college, Ron proudly served his country in the United States Army, earning the rank of Captain.
Following his military service, Ron passed the CPA exam and worked as a Certified Public Accountant. Throughout his professional life he worked with various businesses, finding deep
satisfaction in helping others through his expertise. Being a CPA was more than a career for Ron – it was a calling he truly enjoyed.
Ron lived a life rich with hobbies and simple pleasures. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, traveling, and spending time with his beloved friends and family. He was happiest sitting on a baseball diamond cheering great nephews, family and friends teams. In his later years, the moments he cherished most were those shared with the people he loved.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, and a nephew. He leaves behind his sister, her husband, three nephews, and two nieces. He loved being promoted to the status of
Great Uncle and leaves behind twelve great nieces and nephews. Some of them promoted him again to the status of Great Great Uncle. He also leaves behind two young men who held a
special place in his heart: Justin, whom he treasured as a son, and Jeremy whom he treasured and mentored for many years. He was blessed with a senior companion through a service of veterans serving veterans three years ago. Lester provided him with practical help, numerous rides for various errands and most importantly a true friendship.
Ron will be remembered for his steady presence, his sharp mind, his warm sense of humor, and the deep loyalty he showed to those around him. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he
touched. He would often say ” The Lord has blessed me greatly!
