Sally Nelson

Sally was born on May 24, 1932 in Milwaukee Wisconsin, the 10th child of Frank and Sara Azzolina.

She married Roger A Nelson on October 30, 1954. He preceded her in death in March of 2015.

Sally is survived by her son: Larry Nelson and his wife Julie of Rowlett, daughter: Lori Lee and her husband Pat of Rowlett, and daughter: Lynn Dabney and her husband Scott of Coppell.

Grandson: Luke Hagar and his wife Heather of Flower Mound, grandson: Mike Nelson of Dallas, grandson: Matt Nelson of Dallas, granddaughter: Nicole Dabney of Coppell, granddaughter: Jessica McDonald of Hollywood, CA, granddaughter: Lauren Lee of Dallas, grandson: Cody Maupin of Rockwall, and three great grandchildren: Tyler, Cecilia, and Angelo.

Also surviving is brother: Matthew and his wife Jean of Library, PA, and sister: Grace Duboise of Sherman Oaks, CA.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sparkman Richardson Funeral Home located at 1029 S. Greenville Avenue, Richardson, TX 75081.

The funeral service for Sally will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM also at the Sparkman Richardson Funeral Home.

Entombment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Dallas.

Sally was a long time member of the Pageantry Unit of Shalman No. 90 Daughter of the Nile where she worked timelessly raising money for the Shriners Hospital for children. This was in conjunction with the time she spent with her beloved raising funds through Hello Shrine.

Sally was a devoted wife for 60 years and a mother of three. She was always steadfast and committed to her family, her religion, her community, and her beliefs. She enjoyed playing games, cooking, and spending time with her family.
