Samuel recently graduated from high school in 2020 and attended J.J. Pierce High School. Most recently, he was working as Head NutRoaster at Al Nimer Roastery. Samuel was the hardest working young man, with an unmatched entrepreneurial spirit that shined bright from a young age when he started selling koolaid-gummy bears at school. He was a true outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, camping, four wheeling and spending time at the beach or the lake. Throughout the years, Sam loved airsoft, playing soccer and with friends and cooking up creative concoctions in the kitchen. His creativity kept him busy with interesting and wacky projects like potato cannons, or the shopping-cart-go-cart he never finished. He had a way with words and could be considered a “slang linguist”, as he had truly crafted a language of his own. Samuel’s sense of humor was second to none and made everyday life so fun. He had a hard candy shell, but a soft gooey center, known to many as a gentle giant. But his confidence might have been his most defining feature. Because it was his confidence that kept him free from the world's opinion and allowed him to be as funny, creative, affectionate, relaxed and real as he wanted to be. He was fearless in so many ways. Samuel’s laid back, fun loving, carefree spirit will always remain in our hearts and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Carlos & Polly Vasquez, and Harold & Gretchen Hurtt. Samuel leaves behind to cherishhis memory: his mother, Natalie Salazar of Dallas; father and step-mother, Jose & Monica Salazar of Mesquite; brothers, Nicolas Salazar, Jose Salazar, Adrian Aguillon, Aaron Aguillon, and Jack Salazar; sister, Ava Salazar; grandparents, Bob & Ileana Hurt tof Dallas, Reyna Arroyo of Princeton; great-grandparents, Felipa Mondragon of Dallas; great-uncle, H.G.
