Thelma "Lee" Sexton, 75, of Davie, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025. Born in Alpine, Arkansas, on June 25, 1949. She is survived by her two children, Sara Beth Caletka (Bela Chittick) and Bryan Christopher Caletka (David Clark). Lee also leaves behind her second husband, Laddie "Bruce" Caletka, and her partner of many years, Keith Meldrum. Her sisters, Faye Davis and Jean Moncrief. Lee was preceded in death by her third husband, William "Wayne" Sexton, whose memory she carried with her always.
Lee graduated from high school soon after she married her first husband, “Bill” Hobson. They moved to Dallas, Texas, where she remained for most of her life. After their divorce, she met her second husband, Bruce Caletka, and had their two children. She married her third husband, Wayne Sexton, after her second divorce and enjoyed marriage until Wayne’s passing on May 22, 2009.
Lee loved living in Texas and considered herself to be a native Texan. No one dared to correct her alternative facts. She loved to shop, and she would spend almost all weekend going from store to store. She loved to purchase and receive jewelry as gifts. Most of her collection, she never wore, and still has the price tag.
A few years after the passing of her husband, her son coaxed her to Davie, Florida, where she lived across the street from her son. She registered her complaint that Florida was not nearly as great as Texas on a regular basis. She met her partner Keith shortly after that, and he moved to Florida to be with her. He was lovingly by her side when she passed.
Services will be held on May 6, 2025, at Starkman Funeral Home, 1029 South Greenville Avenue, in Richardson, Texas 75081, from 1 PM until 3 PM. She loved to send flowers to her family and friends that departed, so she would happily receive flowers for her services.
