Born in Gary, Indiana on June 20, 1928 to Hilda and Theodore Lehmusvirta, he later made his home in Dallas, Texas to raise his family and work in the electronics industry.
In 1968, he co-founded the Spring Valley Athletic Association, which continues to enrich the lives of children and their families by providing youth sports environments that are appropriate, organized and enjoyable.
For 35 years, he owned Westex Sales, where he met many wonderful people from around the world.
He enriched all who met him, through his compassion, quick wit, and fellowship.
He is survived by daughter, Linda Lehmusvirta , her husband, Gregory Klinginsmith, and dear friend Judy Streit. He was preceded in death by wife, Betty, and children Douglas and Laura.
