Theresa Florence Mosczynski, age 87, of Richardson, TX was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 25, 1932, and passed away on June 15, 2019. She passed in her home in the loving care of her daughter Suzanne Mosczynski of Plano, TX, who took care of her along with close friends Tamala Johnston, Beth Kruse, and Pat Cleary for several months before her passing. Thank you all very much. Before her passing, she was a proud and loyal employee of the City of Richardson from 1971-1996, and was assigned many job titles during her tenure there.
Theresa, also known as Terry, was known through the community for her unselfish and dedicated volunteerism through her actions at the Wildflower Arts and Music Festival of Richardson for 26 years straight. Her training as a bank teller at Home Unity in Philadelphia gave her the skills and knowledge to volunteer as a treasurer for over 10 years at the AARP of North Dallas, ending her seat just this month.
Theresa also volunteered her time with the Saint Vincent De Paul Society starting in 1984, where she helped the needy and homeless around our community. She also ran the Bingo Night every week for 14 years at the Arapaho Village Nursing Home. Theresa was a loving and caring individual who gave dearly to her family and community. She was a great wife to her husband, who she married on October 20, 1956, and was a great mother to her three children. She will be greatly missed by anyone whose life she touched.
Theresa is preceded in death by her loving parents, Chester Werwinski and Jennie Werwinski, sister; Jessie Price, brother; Edmund J. Werwinski, and grandson; Stephen Mosczynski Jr. Theresa is survived by her son; Stephen E. Mosczynski, daughter; Suzanne Mosczynski, son; Paul T. Mosczynski, daughters in law; Maria Lory Mosczynski and Roxanna Erica Luna, grandchildren; Theresa J. Mosczynski, Jessica A. Mosczynski, Matthew C.E Mosczynski, and great-grandchildren; Aaron and Aidan Nauarette Tristan Franco.
Viewing for Theresa Mosczynski will be held from 6:00-8:00pm at Sparkman Funeral Home in Richardson on June 28, with a Rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on June 29 with a reception to follow. Entombment will take place at Calvary Hill Catholic Cemetery following the reception.
