

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas Charles Brennan. He was born on September 21, 1940 in Alamo, Texas to Lawrence and Victoria Brennan, and transitioned out of this life on Sunday morning, May 10, 2026, at his home in Wylie, Texas. Through his 85 years, he touched many lives with wisdom, humor, hugs and smiles and an unwavering spirit of perseverance.
Thomas was proudly raised in West, Texas and attended West High School as Class President, Homecoming and Prom King, Class of 59. He briefly served in the Army and, after being drafted, returned home to meet his bride, Mary T Perales of Dallas, Texas. The two married on May 28, 1966 in Dallas and the couple had 4 children.
In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed gardening, reading Westerns, tinkering in his workshop, playing neighborhood Bunko, Knights of Columbus and having a cold one from time to time. His family and friends will always remember him as a doting husband, proud father/grandfather/great grandfather, giver of hugs and always leaving anyone that crossed his path with his golden smile.
Survived by the love of his life, wife Mary Brennan; 3 sons David of Fate, Texas, Douglas and wife Shannon of Ohio, Darrin of McKinney, Texas, and daughter Denise Tapscott and husband Craig of Rowlett, Texas; 5 grandchildren – Jordan Price, Denyel Brennan, Garrett Brennan, Ethan Brennan and Zoey Brennan; 3 great grandchildren – Caden Price, Blair Brennan and Colbi Price; along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
