Thomas Dale Troutt

Dale was born on April 2, 1955 in Memphis, Tennessee to Cecil and Eloise Troutt. Dale graduated from Christian Brothers High School and College, earning a degree in electrical engineering. After graduation in 1977 he spent three decades selling semiconductor design automation software, receiving numerous accolades for his global production. He enjoyed working in the high-tech industry during the boom of the ‘80s and ‘90s. From 2008 to 2022 Dale owned and operated a custom rifle company and a rifle component manufacturing business.

Since 1980 Dale lived primarily in Dallas as well as Atlanta, Houston, Saratoga, CA and Corsicana, TX.

A lifelong outdoorsman and shooting enthusiast, Dale traveled the world on adventures and hunts with his family and friends. Many of his closest friends would be considered his hunting buddies. He lived life to the fullest and he loved deeply. Dale was a Christian and most recently attended Watermark Community Church.

He is survived by his son Matthew Troutt (Bailey) of Dallas and his daughter Michelle Blaser (Brad) of Raleigh, NC. Grandchildren are Jackson, Lily and Charlie; and his half-sister Martha Gail Sacchini (Lou) of Winterville, NC and their daughter Andriana of Memphis, TN. He is also survived by the mother of his children Kay Schaefer Troutt of Dallas, and his former wife Penni Carter Troutt of Frisco and her three children and their families.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 25th, 2024 at 11:00 am at Sparkman Funeral Home located in Richardson at 1029 S. Greenville, Richardson, TX 75081, with reception following. The interment will be at a later date in Memphis, TN.
