

Tommie Faye Craft, affectionately known as "Nanny", passed away the evening of Friday, November 15th, 2013 exactly 7 months after being diagnosed with a brain tumor, at the age of 75. Tommie was born and grew up in East Texas in the towns of Pittsburg and Mount Pleasant until she met and married Gerald Lee Craft in Dallas. Tommie and Gerald raised five children in Mesquite, Texas. Tommie worked at the Balfour Company for more than 25 years. She always loved being outside working in her yard, garden or pool. She was an avid reader and a good cook. She was very crafty too as she was always sewing and knitting for others. She also loved babysitting and spending time with her large family.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Lee and Tommy Stamm (daughter and her spouse), of Seven Points, Texas, Angela Kaye and Tony Hawkins (daughter and her spouse) of Plano, Texas, Patricia Annette Fagan (daughter) of Richardson, Texas and John Randall and Kimberly Craft (son and his spouse) of Gun Barrell City, Texas. Her siblings are Leon and Barbara Carpenter of Arlington, Texas (brother and his spouse), Velma and Butch Spray of Whitesboro, Texas (sister and her spouse), Ruth and Clyde Fisher of Lake Dallas, Texas (sister and his spouse). Her grandchildren are Brittany Craft, Michael Hawkins, Amberlee Craft, Haley Beaton, Charlie Fagan, Tommy Jr Stamm, Hillary Hawkins, Mary Crystal Fagan, Shawnda Rodgers, Amanda Perna, Anthony Reyes and Victoria Michelle Reyes. Her Great Grandchildren, Andrew Gordie, Camryn Arnold, Kaylee Sanchez, Westyn Rodgers, Ean Rodgers, and Addyson Perna.
Preceded in death is Gerald Lee Craft (husband), Ricky Alan Craft (son), Ezra and Annie Laura Carpenter (parents), Ashlee Renee Killingsworth (granddaughter), Lloyd Carpenter (brother), Charles Carpenter (brother), Bruce Carpenter (brother), and Jean Lyles (sister).
Nanny was a very special, funny, quirky, caring and loving woman that will be truly missed by so many people that loved her dearly.
Visitation services will be Monday, November 18th, 6:00-9:00 pm at Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 S. Greenville Avenue, Richardson, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 19th at 2:00 pm at Sparkman Funeral Home.
