Troy Michael Chapdelaine was born in Newport News, Virginia, on October 17, 1971. The Chapdelaine family eventually settled permanently in Colleyville, Texas in 1984 where Troy later graduated high school from Fort Worth Christian. Troy had the unique gift of making everyone around him feel comfortable and accepted whether you were family, a friend, or an acquaintance; no doubt about it, Troy could make a friend out of any stranger in minutes. You always knew where Troy was just by hearing his deep, soulful, and contagious laugh that echoed throughout any room or backyard. Troy didn’t wait for retirement to live his best life; it was his daily mission. Usually surrounded by his wife, daughters, friends, and always close to water, Troy’s endless love and laughter brought everyone together along with his favorite drink, Fireball. Troy was a man’s man with a heart full of love, a strong spirit, a generous wallet, and an open hand. “Happy Chappy” was engraved on his cup, but his zeal for life always overflowed to the hearts of his family and friends. He was the life of the party, but also the heartbeat and anchor of his family, neighbors, and friends.
Troy is survived by his wife, Julie; two daughters, Sydney and husband Chase Puckett, and Allie; two step-daughters, Britney and Brooklyn Krimm; three siblings, Ryan and wife Bianca Chapdelaine, Nicole and husband Jonathan Schoemaker, Joelle and husband EJ Ybarbo; Aunt Kristal and husband Jeff Sirles; grandson Jaxon Puckett; nephews Ethan, Van, Jack, Graham, Jameson, Bassil; and nieces Adriana, Oona and Teague.
