Walter Clark, 83, of Frisco, TX, went to his heavenly home on August 4, 2026, surrounded by his family. He lived a full life of purpose, love, and faith. Walter was a devoted servant of the Lord with a generous heart and unwavering integrity.
Born in Jacksonville, FL, to Raymond and Edith Clark, Walter's appreciation for hard work and music began at an early age. He grew up playing the trumpet and owned both a car and an airplane before attending college. Walter graduated from St. John's River Junior College. He then joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served our country overseas as a ship's clerk. After his military service, Walter graduated from Jacksonville University with a bachelor's in Business Management. He then moved to Texas and met his wife, Ginger, who preceded him in death. Together, they started Praise Hymn Fashions out of their garage and built it into a thriving wholesale catalog company, serving primarily church choirs and schools for the next three decades.
Walter was well-traveled and enjoyed exploring the world, meeting people, and trying new foods. He loved music, sang in the church choir, and worked with music ministries across the county. After retirement, Walter enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, attending their sporting events, solving puzzles, cooking, and crafting with them whenever he had the opportunity.
He was a devoted member of First Baptist Dallas, later moved to Prestonwood Baptist Church, and finally attended Providence Church. Walter will be remembered for his deep vibrato voice and the way he sang with all his heart in worship of God.
He was blessed with a loving family throughout his life. Walter is preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Ginger; his sons Chad and Ryan; his parents Raymond and Edith; and his sister Janice Kennedy.
Walter is survived by his beautiful wife of 13 years, Terry; his children, Weston (Kim), Cory, Nathan (Jennifer), Brian (Kaleen), and Kristin (Garrett); sixteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 14, at 1:00 PM in the Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX.
