Born on November 9, 1946, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to William and Dorothy (Wickard) Green, Bill built a life rooted in devotion, service, and meaningful connection. On September 9, 1967, he married the love of his life, Roberta (Kane) Green, in Pittsburgh. Their deeply loving marriage spanned nearly six decades—a steadfast partnership built on shared joy and an enduring commitment to one another and their family.
Throughout his career, Bill worked as a dedicated computer programmer. In retirement, he generously gave back by serving as an interpreter for the deaf, bringing compassion and heart to bridging communication for others. He was a faith-filled member of Lakepointe Church and a tireless advocate within his community, serving as a board member of the Jean Massieu Foundation and as a past officer for the Association of Southern Baptist Interpreters for the Deaf (ASBID). Above all his accomplishments, his heart remained centered on his home and the beautiful life he and Roberta built together.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of nearly six decades, Roberta, of Richardson; and his son, Alex "Chris" Green, of Richardson. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
