She was a member of the Mormon Temple, Jacksonville.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Coastal Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Robert Earl Jarman officiating.

She is survived by her husband: Virgil L. Chappell; son: Danny Foster of Richlands; daughters: Catherine Gildar of Atlanta, Ga., Sandra Atkinson of Cairo, Ga., Jessica Besancenez of Savannah, Ga.; sister: Barbara Dusak of Humble, Tx.; and fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Flowers or memorials may be made at to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center, 1406 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC.
