David Hunting Brunner, 80, was welcomed into Heaven Sunday, March 29, 2020 at his home in Henrico, Virginia. Born March 30, 1939, he grew up in New Jersey, attended Columbia Bible College in South Carolina, served in the Air Force, retired from Hewlett Packard, and was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Richmond.
David is survived by his wife of 57 years, Grace McKee Brunner; his three daughters, Mary Ruth Brunner Moran (Joel), Deborah Brunner Cabrera (Ruben), Becky Brunner Ringley; his six grandchildren, Ruben Cabrera, Jr., Jonathan Cabrera, Naomi Ringley, Caroline Cabrera, Essie Ringley, and Samantha Moran.
David was a wonderful husband, father, uncle, grandfather, friend, helper, neighbor, church member, Bible student, choir member, elder, deacon of technology, and adventurer. Most of all he loved the Lord and desired to please Him daily. In his retirement, he served with Grace using his computer skills as a missionary in Albania.
David died of bone marrow cancer. He fought the good fight with the help and guidance of Dr. Abhishik at Bon Secours and Dr. Keng at UVA Cancer Center and many wonderful nurses and hospital personnel. Thanks should also be given to blood donors.
His wife and family have been blessed with so many friends that pray, cook, write, phone, listen, visit, that take-down and put-up furniture, and those that come at a moment's notice.
David had wonderful caregivers. Medi Home Health & Hospice guided Grace and family through uncharted territory. Always Best Care Senior Services allowed some normalcy. Today David has a perfect body, singing in the heavenly choir, and reuniting with family and friends. Thanks be to God!
