In loving memory of Ms. Bessie Lee Scot, thru my eyes. Roger. Ms. Scott had a long rewarding life. 89 years on this earth. Durning that time she affected so many people’s lives in a positive way. I’m one of those people that was fortunate enough to cross her path. A mother figure to many. She was kind to everyone she came in contact with and gave comfort to those that needed it. I’ve been many places met many people, and she was truly unique and rare. In summary, although there were many aspects that contribute to how she was as a person. Three things stand out foremost in my mind. Humility, Compassion, and Love. She had an unfortunate accident many years ago that left her body broken, her spirit, however, remained indomitable. Despite facing chronic pain and the challenges go with it. She displayed an inner strength and determination to persist, refusing to be subdued or defeated. Never complaining about it. Accomplishing many things thru sheer will and strength of character is spite of physical obstacles. Her unshakable faith in God guided her thru the daily grind to a place of abundant spiritual gifts that she freely shared with others. Remaining a humble servant of her master was something she reiterated to me always that was the core source of her strength. She had a compassion for her fellow human beings that was remarkable. Showing an insight born out of her many years of life experience and spiritual awareness into what people were or going thru. Offering words of kindness, pieces of wisdom or whatever was needed to help at that time to anyone that needed it. Colossians: 3:12 “Therefore as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” She spoke to and fellowshipped with many people daily showing how to love and bring joy to as many as she could. She will be sorely missed, and we have lost a giant cannot be replaced. - Roger

I am John Halfacre, and I have known Bessie Lee Scott since I was 12 years old. Bessie took me off of the streets at the age of 15 years old and treated my wounds, protected, love me as her own child. I have met many people as I traveled the world but meeting a divine being is rare. Bessie was one of the most loving humans that I have met in life. Bessie's kindness was a true testament to her faith as a Christan. Mom practiced the doctrine of Christany with kindness and an open door, understanding people without judgment. She feed many with her loving food, words, actions, an unapologetic wisdom. Human beings like her are very rare. To have met her is blessing. There is now a void, a huge gap, a gaping hole in my heart. Bessie gave and gave and now she is received by the great and all loving master creator. She will be missed but always loved.
