David, you were my best friend when we were children in Daly City. I was happiest when you, Kenny and I sat on out knees at the livingroom coffee table and drew pictures, which we promptly ran to show our folks. Remember how my mom rescued you when you got a rope around your neck by accident when you and Ken were playing? What a strange way to begin a friendship. I think I was in love with you even then. Too bad your folks decided to move to Santa Rosa. I'm so sorry we drifted apart. See you in heaven dear friend.

To the family and friends. Near the time of Jesus' death, his apostles became distraught. Jesus consoled them with these words: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Exercise faith in God,exercise faith also in me." He told them: ". I hope this is encouraging.

It is with a grateful heart that I share wonderful memories from August of 2012.  David graciously accepted an invitation to help in the project of painting rooms above St. Eugene's Adoration Chapel for the Marian Sisters of Santa Rosa.  It was then that I came to know just how much David cared about all things Catholic.  In one of the cell phone messages he left for me on 8/13/2012 he mentioned Wednesday as being a "Holy Day", referring to The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary!  Listening to his voice in those saved messages is a blessing. Our last conversation in the parking lot of the Cathedral after Mass in the days before his passing is a cherished memory.  I will truly miss his earthly presence and gentle manner and will pray for the repose of his soul always.  My heart goes out to all his family and friends... My condolences to Hank and family. I will miss David's beautiful smile when we would leave daily Mass at St.Rose. His Mom, Nina, and I were very close friends and now they are together again. Rest in peace, David. You are at peace with the Lord.
