Elizabeth (Betsy) McGrane Page Living the belief that "our family is a circle of strength and love, and that with every birth and union, the circle grows; every joy shared adds more love; every crisis shared together makes the circle stronger among us", our beloved mother Betsy, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend passed away on March 12, 2012, at the age of 93. The daughter of Elizabeth Carroll Forbes Delany and Brunn Delany, Betsy was born in Brooklyn, NY in the nursery room of her grandparent's brownstone house. She married Frank McGrane in 1941, who predeceased her in 1971. They raised three children as Frank's successful career transferred them across the U.S. finally settling in Ross, CA. In 1972 Betsy married Leroy Page, who predeceased her in 2001. Living in Marin County for 52 years, an active volunteer throughout her life and member of The Meadow Club, she made endearing friendships along the way. Betsy is survived by her 3 children: Melinda (Howard) Sorensen of Anacortes, WA; Forbes (Maureen) McGrane of Sonoma, CA; and Patricia Rahrer of Sacramento, CA; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A private family celebration of Betsy's life will be held at a future date.
