Known to her friends as "Vera", passed away on March 28, 2012, at the age of 95. She was born and raised in Colorado where she worked at an ammunition plant as a riveter and moved to Hamilton Air Force Base California in 1946 with her husband and children. Eventually, Vera and her family settled in Novato where she first worked at the HiFi Drive In and later as a clerk at Pini Hardware for 20 years.
She was part of the Novato Garden club and a volunteer at the Cancer Society. She is survived by her three loving daughters, Norma Baker of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Joanne Buckwalter of Novato, CA and Maxine Smith of Santa Rosa, CA. Also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
