Dear Ted, Matt, Brad, and Curt,
My mom (Maria Postle)sent an email tonight with a memorial notice of your parents. I searched online and found this site. I hope you have access to this still.
I want you to know how saddened I am by the loss of both your parents. I loved them too and feel a small portion of your loss. Your mother was especially dear to my heart. She encouraged me and influenced me in so many ways. I love her for her kindness to me and her encouragement in my music and school work. I remember bringing my 6th grade school report on Switzerland to show her. She sat down and listened to me share each page of my little report and made me feel like I had written the most wonderful thing! She taught me some of my first lessons in piano. I didn't get to take lessons for more than a few short months, but I loved them and loved the wonderful time we had together. I remember her never-fading smile and happy laughter. She was a wonderful person. 
I knew your dad less, but what I remember was he was quiet, humble and very kind. 
My thoughts are with you as you celebrate the life of two wonderful people that I was blessed to have as neighbors, friends, and role models in my life.

The loss of both parents in just two months is a numbing shock.We send our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to you all. Dave and Di were lifelong friends. My friendship with Dave started in 1948.  As his friend I recognize his well earned respect for his military service--As a reserve officer he became a colonel --he had two tours of combat duty in Vietnam--a tour of Germany in thee cold war--a tour as a UN peacekeeper on the Golan Heights between Syria and Isreal--two tours in a recruit training company --and --an after service advisory mission to Saudi Arabia.  What else I don't know.  Your Mother soldiered right along with him.He always did his thing with modesty and character that was your Father.  My head knows they have passed but my heart has them alive and vibrant forever.
