

Marsha Jane Taffi-Diego Also lovingly known as 'Marsh" was 66 years old when she went to heaven on January 3rd, 2014, just 23 days before her 67th birthday. She was a native San Franciscan but lived in San Rafael most of her life. Her high school years were spent in San Rafael except for a year at St. Vincent's in San Francisco. Marsh was always happy, kind and loving, always a caregiver, helping people all her adult years. She worked in convalescent homes and Kaiser Hospital as a nurses' aid and then moved up to Kaiser's offices where she computerized their files which to that point were in paper files only. She was a loving wife, sister, step-mom, aunt and cousin. Her main love was John, her husband of four years, her family and her 'kids' Angel and Mandy, her French Poodles. She was an excellent cook, loved flowers and plants and in her younger years enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by her mom Theresa in 1968, her brother Eliott in 1995, her father Elio in 1999 and her sister Joyce in 2007. Marsha is survived by her husband John Diego his children Jack, Jim, Doug, Gary, Cindi and Julie, their spouses, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her sister Myra Plata of Windsor and husband Carlos, her children, John A Lago of Santa Rosa, his wife Ann, sons John and Jason and stepson Austin, James B Lago of Healdsburg, his wife Tami, daughters Erin and Shelby, son-in-law Deno and granddaughter Laine. David A Stankas of Windsor, his wife Lanette, sons Alan, Todd and Tyler and granddaughter Kailee, Rebecca G Stankas of Santa Rosa and her children Summer, Jose and Harvest. Her sister-in-law Margaret Taffi of Lakeport and her children Theresa, Kevin and Brian and their children respectfully, Michael, Nathaniel and Shane. Also many cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday January 15th at 11:30 AM at the Church of St. Raphael, 1104 5th Ave., San Rafael, CA 94901. Interment will be private.
