She was born on August 21st, 1939, to Carnell Rogers, alongside her twin sister, Martha in Lauderdale, MS. In 1935, Carnell moved her kids, Mary and Martha to Richmond, CA, where she provided a stable life for them.
In 1957, Mary met and married Theo Devers, and to this union three children were born: Michele, Antoine, and Enrique. In 1961, Mary and Theo parted their ways and Mary met the love of her life, Laundell. Mary and Laundell built a life together, and together raised her granddaughter Shuntai, while her daughter, Michele worked.
Ms. Mary was always known for having fuchsia plum hair and nails. She loved dressing up in finer clothes, fancy jewelry, and possessing nice cars. Mary was a loving and devoted person and always left an indelible mark on the people that she met.
In 2009, Mary was diagnosed with breast cancer and her granddaughter, Shuntai would become her caretaker. Mary beat the odds, and became a two time survivor of breast cancer. In 2012, Mary was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia. Her daughter, Michele took care of her full-time with the help of Lynn Smith. Although she was battling with a hard life, you could never tell. On October 11th, Mary lost her fight, and gained her wings at her home, in the company of her daughter, Michele by her side.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Carnell Rogers; sisters, Alice and Martha; ex-husband, Theo Devers; the love of her life, Laundell; one granddaughter, Monique Devers; two grandson's, Dante Devers and Enrique, Jr.; and son in law, Richard Green.

Remember me in quiet days, while raindrops whisper on your pane.
Remember in your memories have no grief, let the joy we knew remain.
Remember me if once you wake, to catch a glimpse of red sunrise.
Remember when your thoughts do turn to me, know that I would not have you cry, but live for me, and laugh for me.
When you are happy so am I. Remember an old joke we shared. Remember me when spring walks by.
Think once of me when you are glad and while you live, I shall not die!
