Her favorite dishes to make were “gumbo”, “macaroni and cheese” and “fried chicken”. She was always by her mother’s side and was able to recreate many New Orleans dishes.
Penny was a generous person who was always seeking opportunities to help others. Penny befriended many people because she was always smiling, being kind and sincere. No one was a stranger, just a friend that she never met. She had many friends who loved her and will miss her dearly.

She leaves to cherish her parents, Raymond and Ethel Wiley, sisters, Gilda Coleman, Pearl Frazier, brothers, Raymond (Reyna) and Matthew Wiley. Two daughters, Toneece and Vanessa, Two granddaughters, Saranae and Kamille. Love and Special acknowledgement to the Thomas family for their love and respect to Penny and a host of other relatives, cousins and friends. (Isaiah 41:10)
I'd like the memory of me
To be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow
Of smiles
When life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering
Softly down the ways.
Of happy times and laughing times
And bright sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve,
To dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave
When life is done.
