

11, 1933. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Helen and James
Donohue, and his siblings, James, John and Peggy. He joined the U.S. Air
Force in 1950 and was discharged in 1954 with the rank of staff sergeant.
Robert graduated from St. John’s University with an accounting degree.
He went on to become a floor broker on the American Stock Exchange for
Mitchum Jones and Templeton in NYC. He finished his career as a
founding and managing partner of DRU Options where he also worked as
a floor broker on the Chicago Board Options Exchange.
Robert (Bob) was known for his sense of humor and wit, his love of sports,
his passion for reading, and doing multiple crossword puzzles a day. He
loved the ocean and sitting on his backyard deck in Galena, Il. To his
friends and family, he was known for his integrity and fairness. He was a
best friend, best husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He
will be truly missed.
Bob is survived by his wife Gloria Donohue; children Theresa, Joseph
(deceased), Christine and Leslie; grandchildren Brandy Herdeg, Robert
Donohue, Michelle Peirano and Taran Donohue Lewis; great-grandchildren
Allen Jr. and Legion Herdeg; nieces Nancy Donohue, Cassandra Clifford,
Lenore Capacio and Patricia Greenan; nephew Robert Greenan; and
sister-in-law Ardelle Donohue.
