Ms. Robin Lynn Williams was born on April 7, 1962 to James Williams and Pamela Bateman in Cisco, TX. At the age of 17, Robin moved to Stockton, CA. She was introduced to Christ during her teen years, and eventually became a member of United Pentecostal Church in Bay Point, CA under the leadership of Pastor Rodney Burks. It was at UPC that Robin accepted Christ, as her Lord and Savior.
In the early ‘80’s, she met Anthony Wilson who at the time, was raising his niece, Alethia Clark. Because of Robin nurturing spirit, she grew fond of the little girl and treated her as if she were her own daughter.
Robin and Anthony were blessed with three children of their own: Alecia, Anthony, Jr., and Pamela. She relocated her family to Contra Costa County and settled in San Pablo, CA.
Robin was a devoted mother, grandmother, companion and caring person to all who befriended her. She was an amazing mother who worked incredibly hard to give her children the best life possible. In 1985, she met her beloved Robert Daniels, Sr. and from this relationship, two sons were born: Michael Williams and Robert Daniels, Jr.
In 1996, Robin became gainfully employed with Alameda - Contra Costa Transit District (or AC Transit). She would work as a Bus Operator for 24 years until her health declined.
Robin was a strong woman. She enjoyed spending time with her children, but, most especially, with her grand-children. She would care for them, when available to do so and travel with them in an attempt to expose them to the joys of life outside of their local environment. Robin also loved shopping, praying, and listening to Gospel music (Yolanda Adams was one of her favorite Gospel singers), and watching Judge Judy on television.
Robin was an avid gardener. She will be remembered for her variety of tomato plants… lots of them. Her most quoted saying was “Stay ready so, you won’t have to get ready!” and her favorite scriptures were found in Proverbs 31 - The Virtuous Women and Psalm 23 - The Lord’s Prayer.
“As long as hearts remember,
As long as hearts still care,
We do not part with those we love
For they're with us, in our memories, everywhere.”
On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, Robin answered the Master’s Heavenly Call… “Come, Robin and Take Your Rest.” She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pamela; and one sibling, Kathrine Williams.
Robin leaves to cherish her loving memory, her companion Robert Daniels, Sr.; five birth children: Alecia Wilson, Anthony Wilson, Jr., Pamela Wilson, Robert Daniels, Jr., and Michael Williams; her daughter in love, Alethia; Fifteen grand-children: Michael Emerson and his beloved Amari Rouse, Charity Payne, Maryetta Henderson, Kaliah Henry, Kayla Henry, Kalani Henry, Mya Morgain, Melanie Morgain, Naveah Williams, Jae Dyn Williams, Michael Williams, Jr., Jai Lynn Williams, Vossi Carson, Leo Wilson, and Robert Daniels, III; one brother, Troy Williams; one sister-in-love, Lynette Daniels; two nieces, Marche’ Combs and MaKaylah Belvins and one nephew, Kenny Jordan; and a host of extended family, co-workers and dear friends.
