
William David Little Bill was born April 12, 1915 in San Francisco to David Campbell Little and Catherine McCarthy Little. He died in San Rafael after a very brief illness on March 23, 2013. He lived in Marin for over ninety years and was proud to be a fourth generation Californian. He grew up in Larkspur and graduated from Tamalpais High School in 1933 where he was captain of the football team. He attended College of Marin and Business School in San Francisco. During the war he joined the Merchant Marines and sailed on a tanker with Standard Oil. Later he joined his father's roofing business, Booth and Little, where he worked for many years. After leaving the family business, he enjoyed a career in Real Estate. In addition to loving the Giants and 49ers, he was an avid bridge player. He is predeceased by two wives, Mae Krelle Little, with whom he had three children and Feleni Schulz Little. He is survived by his children, Patte Hempel, David (Buster) Little and Nancee George (Ken). He had four grandchildren, Aaron Cohen (Lisa), Rachel Parnow (Dan), Sage Little and Caressa Little. He had six great-grandchildren. He was a hard-working, loving man who enjoyed a good, long life. He will be greatly missed. A celebration of his life will be held at Villa Marin on Saturday, April 27 at 2:00 pm. Donations may be made to Heartland Hospice or an organization of your choice.
