Fernando Ricardo Gomez

Fernando Ricardo Gomez, age 72, of Houston, TX passed away on June 20th, 2026. RIcky was born on June 12th, 1954 in El Paso TX, Fernando is survived by his siblings Irma, Gema, Susano, and Eva; daughters, Stephanie and Priscilla; grandchildren Jolie, Sky, Adrien, Aiden, Roland, Peyton, Alayna, Abigail, and bonus grandson Jayden. He is preceded in death by his parents Crescencia and Fernando Gomez.

As the oldest of five children, Fernando naturally embraced the values of responsibility, leadership, and family that would guide him throughout his life. His greatest joy came from being a grandfather; his grandchildren were the center of his world and cherished every moment spent watching them grow.

Fernando will be remembered for his faith, generosity, and the impact he made on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Fernando will be honored with a Visitation at Forest Park Southwest Funeral Home, 9040 FM 359 Road, Richmond, TX 77406, on July 5, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by a Prayer Service at the same location from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 705 St Theresa Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77498, on July 6, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a Committal Service at Forest Park Southwest Funeral Home & Cemetery, 9040 FM359, Richmond, TX 77406, on July 6, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm. Following the Committal Service, a reception to celebrate his life will take place at the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 702 Burney Rd, Sugar Land, TX 77498.
